Landscapes
The cypress and beach photographs were taken on the 17-mile drive near Pacific Grove, California. The Lone Cypress has been in place for over 250 years.
The Santorini photographs were taken on the island of Santorini in the Aegean Sea, southeast of Greece. Santorini is of volcanic origin and the caldera, shown in the LA #5, was formed when an ancient volcano erupted and sank. The sea flooded the area left by the volcano. All of the beaches in Santorini are either rocky or coarse black sand, formed from eroded and finely ground volcanic ejecta.
