Lens on Nature

Anhingas and cormorants are superb swimmers, and they catch fish and crustacia underwater for the most part. They are often seen drying their wings so they can fly more efficiently.

The anhinga is also referred to as the "snake bird", so named because of its elongated neck and bill.
