About Me
I have been interested in nature photography since I was 10 years old. As a teenager, I learned to draw animals and landscapes in chalk and paint. I have a B.S. degree in wildlife management. While in college I did professional wedding photography on weekends to support myself.

My lifelong interest in nature and wildlife intensified as an adult, even though my profession is in the occupational health research field. Until 2003 I used film cameras, chiefly Minolta and Canon equipment. In that year, I bought my first digital SLR. I have expanded my equipment gradually over the years, carefully considering each purchase to make sure it fit my needs.

I currently use Canon equipment (see the Equipment page), and travel two to three times a year to places I know will have an abundance of wildlife and beautiful landscapes. Most of the photographs you see on these pages were taken in Florida and New Mexico in the U.S., but I have also photographed in England, Spain, Italy, and Santorini, Greece.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS3 for most of my serious editing, but also like and use Google's Picasa, and recommend it to others as a starter editing tool.
I currently live in Cincinnati, OH and I have three children and one granddaughter (so far).
